Empowering Iraqi Women and Children

Tawazun is led by a UK-based team with Iraqi roots and a deep understanding of the emotional challenges faced by individuals and communities in Iraq. Our approach blends psychological insight with cultural sensitivity, aiming to remove stigma and bring mental and emotional wellbeing into the everyday language of healing and hope.

One woman is carrying a box, while another is standing beside the containers.

Community Support

Our projects focus on providing accessible mental health resources for Iraqi women and children, fostering a sense of community and balance in their lives.

Why We Exist

The healthcare system in Iraq is under huge strain, and mental health services are virtually non-existent or misunderstood. Trauma, grief, and emotional suppression have become part of everyday life especially for women, children, and young adults.

Tawazun was created to fill this urgent gap with care that is relevant, respectful, and rooted in the community.

Tawazun has been a beacon of hope for our community, providing essential support and care for families.
